Yongguk would never understand what drew someone like Yoonji to an asshole like his roommate. He was well aware that his roommate was an asshole, but he was at least an asshole who paid his bills on time, and Yongguk normally had a penchant for keeping to himself outside of work and his small group of friends, anyway. He didn't understand what had caused Yoonji to sleep on the couch instead of her boyfriend's bed, something he'd only discovered a few moments before, upon leaving his bedroom in the early afternoon hours.
Apparently they'd had a later night than even the bartender.
He shuffled into the kitchen to start a pot of coffee before he returned to the small living room to crouch down and- after ghosting a finger along the curve of her cheek- he smoothed a hand gently over her sleep-mussed hair. "Hey," he murmured when she began to stir, and his gaze skittered briefly toward the calendar on the wall- his roommate must have left just before the lunch hour for his work shift.
His gaze returned to her, and he smiled warmly. "Want some coffee?"
