Kyungsoo infrequently found himself in situations like these, generally because he tended to keep to himself even when going out. Yet somehow a group dinner, an outing he hadn't even prompted, had dwindled from a double digit mix of friends and labelmates, to a single digit mix of labelmates, to finding himself standing beside Joohyun, the only two who hadn't bailed. He couldn't be entirely certain, but he wasn't yet about to discredit this from being some kind of set-up. At the very least, there was no coincidence in this turning into what was essentially a date on the heels of hearing an awful lot of you're working too hard lately, Kyungsoo.

"Well," he began, hand tucked into the pockets of his jacket to keep from chewing distractedly at his nails. "We should still make the most of tonight, right?" An upscale bar wouldn't make for the most romantic of settings, but that was probably for the best. "A couple of drinks to catch up, since we're here."

"Sure. What do you suggest?" A little nervous, fidgety even, about being alone with him. She hadn't noticed them slowly disappear, one by one, until it was just the two of them. The nerves were a necessary baggage from being an introvert, which she tried her best to cover with signature Joohyun smiles. There was no one to fall back onto if things got awkward or she couldn't find anything interesting to say, no one to hide behind and use as a shield. Drinks were probably a terrible idea but felt like a good escape just then. "I don't get the opportunity to drink often..."

The tension between them was heavy, and felt strange for reasons he couldn't quite put a finger on. Whatever they might be, he was going to do his best to dispel them. This didn't need to be uncomfortable if they refused to let it. "Cider is safe," he said with a smile of his own tugging at his mouth. "Or some wine, maybe with a cheese plate?" He hesitated, glancing briefly at the cocktail menu before looking back at her. "Or we could just call it a wash and head home, if you'd rather."

"oppa, you have to promise you won't open it before the fourteenth." she pleaded, the pout weighing her lower lip audible as she checked the tracking page again for the zillionth time. the package she'd prepared for him was set to arrive before she had anticipated, which was still better than late, but she didn't trust chanyeol to be patient with... well, anything. still, she had to try, maybe he would surprise her.

"if... if you don't... i won't let you have part two!!" totally threatening, son seungwan. but it was all she had, so she had to stick to her guns. nevermind the fact that there was no part two. she would cross that bridge when she came to it. right now it was all about trying anything to keep her boyfriend from opening his valentine's day surprise early. even if that meant telling a little white lie. did it count if she came up with part two later? it didn't, right? "and don't try anything funny!! i will know."

"my myemim," she started, fully expecting a swat, or a glare, at the very least, "if they can't see what a charming, funny, beautiful young women you are... it's their loss!" it's cliche, yes, but this time wendy's sap couldn't be avoided. especially when it came to her little sister from another mister. "so!" she smiled, a small hand slapping the younger girl's thigh, "what kind of fun are we going to get up to without them? should we watch a sad movie and cry? bake brownies and eat them until we have to unbutton our jeans? go shopping? break things? have a dance party in the living room?"

purposely, she saved the one she knew yerim would like the most for last, a slow, sneaky smile creeping over her expression. "or~~ should we go for sushi~?"
